Asha Bhosle - Most recorded artist in music history

Asha Bhosle iconic legendry playback singer in India. Apart from Hindi, she has sung in over 20 Indian and foreign languages . The Government of India  honoured her with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan  in 2008. In 2011 Guinness Book of World Records the officially acknowledged Asha Bhosle as the most recorded artist in the history of music.She has reportedly recorded up to 11,000 solos, duets and chorus-backed songs in over 20 Indian languages since 1947.  Asha has won the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer twice: 1981: Dil Cheez Kya Hai (Umrao Jaan) 1986: Mera Kuch Samaan (Ijaazat) .In 1997, Asha became the first Indian singer to be nominated for the Grammy Award, for Legacy, an album with Ustad Ali Akbar Khan.

Sameer Anjaan - Most prolific Bollywood lyricist

Sameer born on 24th Feb 1958, is an Indian Hindi Lyricist. He has penned 3500+ songs for 650 films in a 33 years long career. He has won Three Film fare Awards for Teri Umeed Tera Intezar Karte Hai – Deewana Ghungat Ke Aad Se – Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke Nazar Ke Saamne – Aashiqui . Kumar Sanu - Recording the maximum number of songs in a day 28

Kedarnath Bhattacharya, better known as Kumar Sanu, is a leading Indian playback singer, mostly popular for rendering his voice in Bollywood movies of the 1990s and early 2000s.He was awarded the Filmfare Best Male Playback Singer Award for five consecutive years in 1990 to 1994 for iconic songs like "Ab Tere Bin""Ek Ladki Ko Dekha"Mera Dil Bhi Kitna Pagal Hai""Sochenge Tumhe Pyaar"  "Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen" Kumar Sanu made this record (Guinness World Record)  in 1993 when he recorded 28 songs in a single day. He also awarded with Padma Shri: India's 4th highest civilian honour given by Government of India. on 31 march 2001 he honoured  - Kumar Sanu Day : 1st Indian singer to achieve such honour in America.

Kapoors : Largest Screen members  



Kapoor family is the biggest family of Bollywood. Since Prithviraj Chauhan first acted on the big screen in 1929, 24 members of the Kapoor’s extended family have worked in films. He was followed into acting by his three sons, Raj, Shammi and Shashi and other relatives. Other famous relatives through marriage include top star Amitabh Bachchan, directors Ramesh Sippy and Manmohan Desai. Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor are the grand-children of Prithviraj Kapoor.This family has been in the record book since 1999.

Baahubali: The Beginning - World's largest poster

S S Rajamouli’s blockbuster ‘Baahubali’ has broken the Guinness World Record for making the largest poster of more than 50,000 sq ft.The reference book made the declaration on its official website. “The largest poster has an area of 4,793.65 m² (51,598.21 ft²) and was achieved by Global United Media Company Pvt Ltd (India) in Kochi, India, on 27 June 2015,” it said. Earlier record is hold by bollywood super star Akshay Kumar  starrer BOSS POSTER. The poster, which is 193 feet and 1 inch wide and 180 feet and 2 inches tall, was entered the Guinness World Records for the largest poster in the world. It has broken the earlierestrecord held by the poster of Michael Jackson's "This Is It", a documentary-concert film.

Jagdish Raj - Most typecast actor

The actor holds the Guinness World Record for being 'the most typecast actor'.who had the record of playing a police officer 144 times in various Bollywood films.Born as Jagdish Raj Khurana in Sargodha, British India (now part of Pakistan), he acted in films from 1960 till retirement in 1992. Some of his popular movies include Deewar, Don, Shakti, Mazdoor, Imaan Dharam, Gopichand Jasoos, Silsila, Aaina and Besharam.Though Jagdish occasionally played a villain and a couple of times essayed the role of a judge, he was best known for being cast a record 144 times as a police officer.

This film starring fresh faces Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel became such a huge hit and won a total of 92 awards getting it a spot in the2002 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records for most number of awards won by a film.

Ashok Kumar - Longest Bollywood career in leading                                

Ashok Kumar , born Kumudlal Ganguly, and also fondly called Dadamoni, was an Indian filmactor who attained iconic status in Indian cinema. He was honoured in 1988 with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the highest national award for cinema artists, by the Government of India and also received the Padma Bhushan in 1999 for his contributions to Indian cinema.Since making his debut in Jeevan Naiya in 1936, Ashok Kumar, affectionately known as Dadamoni, has been acting continuously for 63 years . A three-time winner of the Filmfare Best Actor award, his most famous role was in Kismet (1943), which in real terms is the highest-grossing Indian film of all time becoming the first Hindi movie to gross 1 crore at the box office.

Lalita Pawar - Bollywood actress with the longest film career                               

The Bollywood actress with the longest film career was Lalita Pawar (India, 1918–98), who acted continuously for 70 years. She made her debut at the age of 12 and appeared in more than 700 films in  Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati cinema, where she gave hits such as Netaji Palkar (1938), made by Bhalji Pendharkar, New Hana Pictures’ Sant Damaji, Navyug Chitrapat’s Amrit, written by VS Khandekar, and Chhaya Films’ Gora Kumbhar. Her other memorable roles were in the films Anari (1959), Shri 420 and Mr & Mrs 55, and the role of Manthara, in Ramanand Sagar's television epic serial Ramayan.

P. Jairaj  - Bollywood actor with the longest film career                             

P. Jairaj, who made his debut in 1929, has had an acting career spanning 70 years. Although he has acted in more than 300 films, he is better known for character roles than as a lead actor.
